Content warning: Our shows in general explore heavy topics like misogyny and rape culture. This isn’t one of our heavy shows per se, but we empower people to take care of themselves by not attending if they feel like it will be too much or if they are easily offended.
We acknowledge with great respect the Lkwungen-speaking peoples on whose traditional territory this event is being held, and the Songhees, Esquimalt and WSÁNEĆ peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.

FAQs
I heard this is your last show – is that true?
Well… we don’t have any shows planned after this one, so it’s probably the last one for at least a while. Our beloved Socrates is opening up a gay pub downtown (“The Vicious Poodle” – so exciting!) so our focus will be on that for a while.
Whyyy would you host an event at the VEC – they have a long flight of stairs?!?!?
There are a lot of different barriers to accessibility, and finances are a MAJOR one for us. Because we want to continue to offer an unlimited number of financially assisted tickets and pay our performers properly, pay an ASL interpreter, pay our Consent Captain, buy local, etc. – we have to utilize venues that are financially feasible for us otherwise we simply can’t afford to put on more shows. The VEC is very supportive of the arts, and offers a very generous discounted rate. Plus they are an amazing team to work with, and a non-profit who is trying their very best. The VEC is working hard fundraising to have a new elevator installed, and we are hoping it’s up and running by the time our show happens. https://victoriaeventcentre.ca/attendees/accessibility/
